Good news, Luna community! Over 4,000 Luna units have arrived at our distribution facility in Atlanta and are being prepared for shipment. A majority of these units are USB-C units, which will begin shipping out later this week. Once these units are delivered, we will have fulfilled roughly 60% of all Kickstarter orders.
When your Luna leaves the distribution facility, you will receive an email confirmation with a tracking link. Please allow 1-2 weeks for domestic delivery (up to 4 weeks for international orders).
On track to fulfill all units by December 2018
Orders are being fulfilled on a rolling basis over the coming months, and all Luna Display units will be delivered by the end of December 2018. While we are unable to provide the specific date for an individual delivery, it is our top priority to get a Luna unit into your hands as soon as possible. Production for remaining Mini DisplayPort units begins next month
During testing, we ran into more challenges with the mDP design than we did with USB-C (we have to support over 70 Mac models for mDP versus only a handful of Mac models for USB-C). All design issues have since have been corrected. We’ll begin another manufacturing round in the first weeks of September — this time focused on producing the remaining Mini DisplayPort units. Stay tuned for more updates!
